In a surprising collaboration that challenges conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the formal release, "A strange encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of forbidden rituals and terrifying changes echo through the shadows." The plot presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine cult.
The questline concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the quest will receive an special katana together with multiple objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
